Bookmark updated update! :)

Well I'm working on the bookmarks and hoping to finish them this week! I received the bookmark lamination thingies and they are a bit smaller than my original bookmarks were going to be but that's OK I think it will look better! I'll post a pic when they're done for your viewing pleasure.

Just my little drawing for this weeks Illustration Friday theme "Juggle". The concept is that one branch is trying to juggle all the little birdies, the last little red birdie is falling off so he's trying to hold on!! Can you tell I love birdies!!?? Bookmark update

I found bookmark laminating sheets! They will be smaller than I originally intended but it's better than nothing! Coming soon!!!!

Kinks, UGH!!

Well I got my laminator in yesterday and I laminated my first sheet of bookmarks and they looked awesome, I went to cut them out today and when I did the lamination started peeling up! UGH!! Any ideas????

I can't believe this but my baby girl is 8 mos. old today!!! Where did the time go? She's growing way too fast!!! I just love her to pieces and she's the most wonderful daughter. She's a thrill to be around and I can't get enough of her. She is my creative inspiration!!! BTW this is her Halloween costume, we couldn't resist! I love you Peanut!

I awoke with some new cool ideas for drawings in my sleep! It just never stops sometimes!! Yes there are birds involved! LOL I'm hoping to get started on the new stuff today if my little Peanut allows it. She may want play time with me! So look for the new stuff to come! YAY I'm happy now!

I was trying to think of what I could for the wedding theme on IF and lately I've been on a bird kick. This is what I came up with as a quick idea. I don't have much time to work on it this week so this will have to do. I think it's cute though. The idea is when you get married you're hearts are locked tight together with the key, hence "you have the key".

Illustration Friday Challenge!

So this is a challenge to me but I'm trying to stretch my creative wings! I am going to try and I say try because I have an 8 mo. old., I'm going to try and participate in this super cool blog! Every Friday they email you a topic that you illustrate in your own way and then post it. It doesn't have to be big but I think it will be fun to do! I'm excited for the new challenge!!!

Frida Kahlo is one of the most interesting artists I've had the chance to study about. Known for her very different artwork and her unibrow that she painted in all her self portraits she was from Mexico. While listening to the Gipsy Kings I tried to capture the vivid bright colors she would wear and paint with. This piece was digitally drawn into Photoshop. This is for sale as a print in my Etsy shop.
