Organica - LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME!

Hi all,

Just wanted to blog a little about my latest piece called "Organica". I am biased but I just love this piece. It took on a life of it's own as I was creating it. It's a large piece at 24" x 36" with the thick gallery wrapped sides so it's ready to hang. I have many more photos in my flickr photostream to see details better. It has green little micro beads, archival paper, rhinestones, gold leaf flakes, molding paste and more. It's coated in some great smelling beeswax to finish it off. This piece has a lot of depth and would be a great focal piece for a room. It has a soft earthy feel to it with all the greens and browns. 1. I have been to Europe 6 times and to 10 different countries including Russia.
   
2. I've done missions work in different countries and was a part of YWAM right out of high school.
   
3. I am the oldest of 4 kids and I have no sisters at all.
   
4. I've driven on the AutoBahn when I was 21 and LOVED it!
   
5. I've been skydiving and would do it again in a heartbeat!
   
6. I have my motorcycles license and had my bike before Lorelei was born, I'll have another one someday!
   
7. I'm a DIE-HARD JEEP girl and totally miss my big wheeled Wrangler, especially driving on Florida beaches.

WIP - Secret Garden

Hi all,

Just wanted to show you my latest mixed media piece. This is a little washed out because this piece has a lot more dimension in person. I think it's because my Ott light was on directly above it. You can see more photos here. It's a 24 x 36 inch canvas with the deep gallery wrapped sides. I've used a little bit of everything. I'm probably going to do this as a private sale or auction. If anyone is interested please contact me. I won't be putting this on Etsy I don't believe but may change my mind. I've used metal flakes, scrapbooking paper, pencils, water soluable crayons, Steward Gill paints, stencils, tissue paper, glitter, molding paste, acrylics and probably more. I would love some input. I'm also probably going to put little orbs of light in it in a few places to make it a little more magical.

LoLo and I have been sick all week and I haven't been working on it as much as I would have liked. Send some prayers our way if you get a chance, we have colds with coughs and runny noses and my ear is completely blocked right now. So not fun!
